Mission

Villanova Academy for Honor Studies (VAHS), was established with the commitment of providing a high-quality academic excellence based upon high standards.

History

The Villanova Academy for Honor Studies (VAHS) is a department within the Foundation for Islamic Education, and is chaired by the school principal.  It is located on a beautiful 23-acre campus in the esteemed city of Villanova, Pennsylvania, and has become a positive and active participant in the local society.

VAHS provides an Islamic atmosphere allowing our students to grow and learn as individuals spiritually, morally, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

In January 1999, the establishment of a Pre-school and Kindergarten was based on the highly acclaimed Montessori educational style for children ages 3 – 5.

In the summer of 1999, continuing from the dynamic and strong beginning, VAHS was established to meet the needs of students 1st through 6th grade, with current enrollment for 110 students.

VAHS is dedicated to providing education to students through the 12th grade, insha’ Allah.  It is through this commitment and the grace of Allah (swt) that this vision will be achieved in the near future.

Philosophy/Vision

The philosophy of VAHS is to provide children with an Islamic foundation enabling them to become positive and productive leaders upon successfully completing rigorous academic standards.

At VAHS we aim to provide each student with the skills to seek and acquire new information while supplying them with the resources needed to implement this knowledge into their lives, communities, and society.

Goals

A goal of VAHS is to equip the students with analytical, critical and objective thinking skills, whereby students further their knowledge of the rapidly developing world in which they live.

The academically challenging curriculum taught to our students includes Islamic Studies, Qur’anic, and Arabic classes, along with traditional courses of English, Science, Math, and Social Studies.

We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and trusting environment conducive to Islamic beliefs and values.  Working within the parameters of Islam, one can expect a quality education and academic achievement.
